"Above and Beyond the Cloud: A Rooftop Gathering of Google Public Sector Partners," is a premier Public Sector networking event that was hosted by Virtru at 1801 Pennsylvania Avenue in downtown Washington, D.C.
After Google’s Public Sector Summit, attendees engaged in thought-provoking panel discussions featuring top executives from Google’s most innovative public sector ISVs, cloud migration partners, and customers. Topics touched upon the intricate complexities facing the public sector industry today and how Google’s growing ecosystem of partners helps make the cloud a reality for government organizations of all shapes and sizes.
After the panel discussions, attendees gathered for a rooftop party with cocktails and delectable hors d’oeuvres and a breathtaking view of downtown Washington DC's skyline.

As CEO and Co-Founder of Virtru, John is a long time privacy advocate. Prior to co-founding Virtru, John was an investor at Lindsay Goldberg LLC, working with entrepreneurs to dramatically scale their businesses. John also served as the lead technology policy advisor at the White House National Economic Council and was the Policy and Strategic Planning Director at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
John graduated from Williams College, was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Jeremiah is an accomplished Leader who has driven innovation and impactful solutions around Technology and Customer Success. He has successfully managed numerous modernization efforts and is familiar with architecture, design, DevOps, and Cloud technologies. Jeremiah has worked across multiple industries, including tech startups, telecom, and manufacturing. He has worked in both the Commercial and Public Sector PSO teams at Google, where prior to Onix, he led the Technical Account Management team for the Public Sector. Today, he leads the Public Sector Delivery organization at Onix.
Mike Laramie is an Associate CTO for SADA. At SADA, his focus is on advising customers on their cloud security journey, identifying solutions that SADA can create and vendors SADA can recommend to customers in order to enable innovation in their security teams and meet their organizational goals. Prior to SADA, Mike has spent time at Lacework, Google Cloud, and Oracle. He is based in the Washington, DC metro area.
Dr. Carrick Longley, SVP of Global Public Sector at Virtru, stands at the forefront of technological innovation and collaboration. With a career spanning over 20 years, Carrick seamlessly bridges the worlds of technology and public-private sector dynamics. His foundational experiences with the US Marine Corps, combined with academic pursuits in Information Sciences and entrepreneurial ventures, have crafted a multifaceted expertise. At Virtru, Carrick's leadership is characterized by a relentless drive for innovation, fostering team collaboration, and championing data-centric security solutions tailored for the global public sector. His balanced and pragmatic approach to technology ensures that solutions not only uphold organizational missions but also prioritize security and privacy. As a visionary in the realm of tech-driven solutions, Carrick continues to be a beacon for strategic innovation and collaborative excellence.
A proven executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years experience developing high-growth software companies, Matt serves as Virtu’s CMO and leads all aspects of the company’s go-to-market motion within the data protection and Zero Trust security ecosystems. Prior to Virtru, Matt served 6 years as SVP and CMO at Sonatype where he designed, built, and led global marketing and demand generation for a pioneer in software supply chain management and DevOps automation. Earlier in his career, Matt co-founded, developed, and successfully sold two software companies. He also led sales and marketing at USinternetworking (acquired by AT&T) and Groove Networks (acquired by Microsoft). Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University and a Master of Arts from George Mason University.
