Product Support & FAQ

What happens if the server hosting the CKS goes down?

If the customer’s server that hosts the CKS goes down, Virtru will be unable to decrypt messages sent using the CKS until it is back up and running.  Since the customer owns and maintains the CKS, it is their responsibility to ensure server uptime.  When the customer’s server goes down, Virtru displays a message advising senders and recipient’s to contact the customer responsible for running the CKS.
