Recognition honors people leader who has shaped Virtru's culture and talent strategy through a period of rapid public sector growth

WASHINGTON, May 18, 2026 — Virtru, the leader in data-centric security, today announced that Conley Henderson McIntyre, Virtru's VP of People, has been named a winner of DCA Live's 2026 HR Leadership Awards. The annual program recognizes the Washington, DC region's most distinguished people leaders. Henderson McIntyre will be honored at the awards ceremony on June 4, 2026 in Washington, DC.

The recognition caps a multi-year period during which Henderson McIntyre led the talent and culture work behind Virtru's rapid expansion into the U.S. public sector — including building and retaining the team that helped power the company’s consistent growth and funding.

"I'm honored to be recognized alongside so many leaders shaping the future of work in our region. I’m proud of the culture that our Virtru team has built, putting people first and creating an environment where they are empowered to innovate," said Henderson McIntyre. "We believe respecting the people who build our products is inseparable from respecting the data we ask them to protect. When mission-driven people feel trusted to do their best work, they not only stay, but they also help us recruit and train the next generation of talent we need to grow."

At Virtru, Henderson McIntyre leads the functions of talent acquisition, people operations, employee relations, engagement, and leadership development. Her tenure has been defined by a proactive, data-informed approach to HR: continuous feedback channels in place of reactive exit interviews, hiring for mission-alignment alongside technical skill, and a deliberate investment in psychological safety as the foundation for performance. Under her leadership, Virtru has expanded its workforce to support accelerating demand from federal and public sector customers, while strengthening the company's core values.

"Conley has been instrumental to every chapter of Virtru's growth over the past several years — especially as we've scaled rapidly into the public sector," said John Ackerly, CEO and Co-Founder of Virtru. "The talent she has recruited, the culture she has cultivated, and the trust she has built across the company are reflected directly in the milestones we've reached together. This recognition from DCA Live is well earned. It also speaks to a truth we know inside Virtru every day: There is no mission outcome without people, and there is no people-first culture by accident."
