A longtime Google Cloud partner, Virtru has helped thousands of organizations collaborate with military-grade security while leveraging the many benefits the Google ecosystem. Now, the Virtru team is thrilled to announce a new phase of our partnership that makes our leading data security solutions even more integrated with Google Cloud.

Virtru has completed the migration of its SaaS product infrastructure from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to Google Cloud, ushering in a new phase of its longtime partnership with Google. This partnership will provide FedRAMP-authorized encryption and heightened compliance options for even more Google Cloud customers globally via the Google Cloud Marketplace.

Advanced Security Benefits for Google Customers

This partnership unlocks three major benefits for Google Cloud customers across industries, from public schools to financial institutions and defense contractors.

    1. Virtru's products are now powered by Google Cloud's scalable, global infrastructure.

By migrating from AWS, we gain the reliability and security we need to support our rapidly growing customer base, many of whom are also leveraging the Google ecosystem. This tight integration between Virtru and Google will provide even greater benefits to our shared customers.

Virtru’s migration to Google Cloud was supported by SADA, An Insight company and global cloud consulting and professional services market leader.

“We’re pleased that Virtru has migrated its services to Google Cloud to benefit from our trusted, global infrastructure,” said Vineet Bhan, Head of Global Security Partnerships at Google Cloud. “Utilizing Google Cloud technologies, Virtru will power new capabilities that can improve how businesses operate and better protect their organizations.”

Google has demonstrated a commitment to strengthening privacy and security with its rollout of Client-Side Encryption for Gmail and Workspace. As one of Google’s authorized key service partners, Virtru is proud to work alongside Google to deliver advanced privacy and security to customers.

Furthermore, Virtru’s solutions will be available to new and existing customers via Google Cloud Marketplace, and it will leverage key aspects of Google Cloud's Partner Advantage and ISV Solution Connect program.

    2. The Virtru and Google Cloud teams are aligned on delivering powerful security for Google customers.

Our data security integrates seamlessly with Google Workspace productivity tools, enabling users to easily encrypt sensitive data. As global data security and compliance regulations continue to evolve, Virtru stands ready to power heightened data protection aligned with the strictest standards, including CMMC, ITAR, FedRAMP, and many more.

Organizations across the public and private sectors are increasingly recognizing the powerful security and collaboration capabilities available to their teams in Google Cloud. One of those organizations is the Air Force Research Laboratory, which leverages Google + Virtru for secure communication with researchers and partners around the globe.

“We’ve ensured our tech stack facilitates the seamless exchange of ideas, accelerating our maturation cycles and the pace of innovation that AFRL must operate at,” said Dr. Dan Berrigan, Lead, Collaborative Tools, AFRL Digital War Room. “When it comes to communicating with third-party partners, we believe frictionless collaboration holds the same level of importance as privacy, security, and compliance with governance controls.”

“AFRL invests in its collaboration tool stack by using the Google Workspace suite to foster that simple, easy-to-use collaboration, along with Virtru’s client-side and server-side data protection to provide additional layers of security for sensitive information.”

    3. 2024 will be a landmark year for data-centric security in Google Cloud.

We look forward to bringing our encryption, access controls and FedRAMP-authorized platform to thousands of new Google Cloud customers.

As a high-growth data security provider, Virtru uses encryption, granular access controls and a FedRAMP-authorized platform to secure sensitive data for over 8,000 global customers. Our customers across healthcare, finance, tech, government and the military trust us to protect their most confidential information.

The Path Forward for Virtru and Google Cloud in 2024
